Dogeared Office 365 Case Study

Google Apps to Office 365 Migration

THE CHALLENGE

Communication &
Collaboration

Dogeared, a designer and retailer of unique jewelry needed to enhance its collaborative capabilities and create a more mature infrastructure. It had built its infrastructure on point solutions and lacked an overall strategy.

With increased growth it became apparent that current environment would not help Dogeared reach its business goals. Dogeared needed solutions to allow better collaboration among employees, suppliers, distributors, and customers.

“The time had come for us to become more sophisticated in communication and collaboration capabilities if we wanted to support and further our growth,” says Chad Berryhill, IT Director, Dogeared.

THE SOLUTION

Crafting an Overall
Cloud Strategy

Towards this end, Dogeared began a Google Apps deployment, but found that the products lacked integration. It determined that Office 365 provided a better-integrated solution with superior usability.

“I had a clear vision of what our future IT environment looked like, and Google Apps just wasn’t part of it” – Chad Berryhill, IT Director, “Not only did we want to be able to integrate our communications tools with our ERP system, but we also wanted to give employees a streamlined experience, whether they were scheduling meetings, conducting video conferences, or creating documents, and Google Apps couldn’t help us accomplish those goals.”

CorpInfo helped Dogeared achieve its vision by crafting an overall cloud strategy, deploying a cloud infrastructure and Office 365.

“I walked away from our initial meeting feeling like I’d found a partner who would help me get Dogeared where it needs to be, and the CorpInfo team’s hard work and insight have supported that feeling ever since. We signed the initial paperwork with Microsoft in April 2014, and by the end of May 2014, we were up and running with Office 365.”
